Infant & Children’s Eye Exams

Regular eye exams can play a significant role in your child’s overall development. Early detection and management of vision conditions such as amblyopia and strabismus by a qualified eyecare professional can greatly increase the chances of optimal vision development into adulthood.

The Canadian Association of Optometrists recommends that infants receive their first eye exam between the ages of 6 and 9 months, and at least once between the ages of 2 and 5. Annual eye exams are recommended for school-age children.
